My body is in Poitiers but my mind is still in Berlin. The thought of returning to work tomorrow seems surreal.
We spent a fantastic week in this awesome city, with the best of weathers. How can a city so big manage to feel so relaxed and peaceful?
We split our time between historical hotspots, a couple of museums and walking around various neighbourhoods, sitting in parks and eating great food from all over the world.
We even went to a concert, as Berliner pop/rock singer-songwriter Norman Palm was playing just around the corner from where we were staying. More pictures and Berlin-related things very soon.

Record of the day: Norman Palm – Songs

Nice to see some pics. S. and I almost went to Berlin the other year, inspired by how great Momus made it sound on Click Opera. Typically, we didn’t get around to it…

That green man on the crossing lights is a funny shape – is he wearing a cycle helmet?

@Maria: Apfelschorle was lovely, I already miss it! And I’m actually not from Caen itself but from a nearby village that is twinned with a place called Unterpleichfeld. I have not been there but my mum participated in the exchange with the choir she sings in.

@Chris: of course I can only encourage you to go! That little man with a hat was on pedestrian crossings in the GDR. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ampelm%C3%A4nnchen

oh my god, are you kidding me..the village I am from is just 3km away from Unterpleichfeld, just the next one..I can’t believe it..how small is the world?..I remember when I was in year 4 that we went to France to
Boutiers-Saint-Trojan which is twinned to the village I am from…oh my, that is funny:)
